Dear all,
I am performing the transient analysis in MAPDL; I am using mode superposition method to calculate time varying stress. The model I am using is ship model with shell 181 element, current analysis is for time 0 to 1 sec, with DELTIM =0.001 SEC. The .rst file which is getting created after analysis is more than 300 GB.
Now I am interested to carry out analysis for 4 sec, which will create .rst file more than 1000 GB.Is there any option or command exist in ANSYS mechanical which will use results from last analysis file as initial condition to solve analysis in next step. This option can be helpful for minimizing .rst file size for total duration. I have used OUTRES, ALL, LAST to control writing of substep results.
Please help if someone knows about it.
Regards,
