Dear XANSYSts,
I've just been informed that DEBUG was hoisted to the top of the bell tower and struck by lightning. It is ALIVE!
We won't see it until Release 17.0 and it still won't be documented. But it will be added to the regression tests so that if it breaks in the future, at least development will know about it. That's progress.

Yea a win!
I wish Ansys Inc. would truly ignore classic altogether. Wish they busied themselves enough trying to make WB a workable tool to be too busy to yank useful things (like debug and most element types I use) out of the old code.
What's next? Yank the macro coding from classic?
Why do we call it "classic" some history..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Coke

Workbench still uses APDL in the background. Classic is still the solver.
The way I see it, unless ANSYS is prepared to some up with a new format for this and set of solvers, not much will change.
(Looking for some wood to knock on quickly- damn that plastic!)
