I want to do an analysis of die sinker EDM's erosion process. My aim is to reproduce the 'thermophysical model of EDM process' by Joshi and Pande. In the research paper, they used APDL 10.0. But I want to reproduce the same result using WB 14.0. During the process, they assumed that flushing that is taking place is 100% efficient. They used axisymmetric element PLANE55. It is written in the paper that "For the thermal analysis of the process, conduction is thus considered as the primary mode of heat transfer between the ions of plasma and the molecules of work/tool". There is no contact between the surface during machining. In workbench analysis settings, the ANSYS WB interface is not showing the option for conduction. How can I ensure that I get the option for conduction? Also, I think that Transient Thermal is good for the analysis but can anyone please suggest me methods to make my result more accurate?
