[Xansys] [APDL] Suggestion needed for contact element analys

Dear All,

I am trying to model friction stir welding(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlG5ZGeGzUM) using ANSYS APDL. In my model, I
have a pin tool and two plates. The pin tool and two plates are modeled
using element Solid226. The pin tool rotates and creates friction on the
plates. This causes the plate to become subsolid and the two plates gets
jointed.

The model is based on friction. I have defined contact element in between
the plates(One is TARGE170 and the other is CONTA174). I have also defined
this contact as surface projection based method(KEYOPT(4)=3) .
Also there is contact element between the tool and the plate(Tool is
TARGE170 and the plate is CONTA174). I have defined this contact as
KEYOPT(10)=2,Contact stiffness update on each iteration.

In my model at first step the pin tool will plunge at the plate.In second
step it will start rotating . In third step it will rotate and traverse
along the weld length.

Currently my solution is not converging. Here is the script for my contact
definition-

Can anyone pls suggest what KEYOPT I might choose in contact definition to
converge my analysis?
